Community & Worship at Spratt United Methodist Church

At Spratt United Methodist Church, we believe faith is strengthened through worship, fellowship, and serving others. Our church is a welcoming place where individuals and families from Lachine, Alpena, and surrounding communities can gather together, grow in faith, and build lasting connections.

Whether you are joining us for Sunday worship, participating in a ministry, or attending one of our community events, you are always welcome at Spratt United Methodist Church.

Sunday Worship

Join us each Sunday at 11:15 AM for worship as we gather together through prayer, music, scripture, and fellowship.

Our services are centered around the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ and providing a welcoming place for all who wish to worship and grow in faith.

For those unable to attend in person, services are available through:

Our Ministries & Activities

Church life at Spratt United Methodist Church extends beyond Sunday mornings. We offer opportunities for worship, learning, fellowship, and service throughout the year.

Faith & Fellowship Opportunities:

  • Children’s Church (when attendance allows) – Helping children learn and grow in their faith in a welcoming environment.

  • Bible & Book Study – Opportunities to explore scripture and grow through discussion and fellowship.

  • Monthly Communion – A meaningful time of worship, reflection, and connection.

  • Ladies Group – Fellowship, friendship, and opportunities for service.

  • Men’s Group – Encouragement, fellowship, and community involvement.

Throughout the year, Spratt United Methodist Church hosts events that bring together our congregation and the surrounding community.

Special Worship Traditions

One of our most treasured traditions is our annual worship service at the historic “Old Spratt Church” located at the Jesse Besser Museum in Alpena, Michigan.

This special service allows us to celebrate our church’s history while continuing a tradition that connects generations of worshippers.

Serving our Community

Living out our faith means caring for those around us. Spratt United Methodist Church supports our local community through several outreach efforts, including:

  • Noisy Offering – Spare change collections that help provide assistance to those in need.

  • Prayer Squares Ministry – Offering encouragement and prayer support.

  • Wilson Elementary School Support – Annual school supply collections.

  • Veteran Support Collections – Helping meet needs within our veteran community.

  • Coat & Jacket Collection – Providing warm clothing for those who need it.

  • Disaster Relief Supplies - Collecting essential items and resources to provide support and assistance to communities affected by disasters and emergencies.
